(Poem) Heaven's Messengers [And-Darling]
2007-06-25 -- 12:37 p.m.
By Ayian @ And-Darling
They crashed into the window,
one after another,
beating wings fallen to the ground
Believing salvation was ahead...
Only to find the cold hard reflection of
the truth in front of them.
Three creatures of God
destroyed by glass windows
on tall apartment buildings...
Man made heavens.
Accostumed to the sight of death,
petite hands gently scooped
the still bodies into their shaky palms...
Her breath sighed as light as their delicate
warmth,
knowing that it was quick.
One moment.
One moment...
And the sudden stop of
Thumping hearts-- Fierce thunder
To the ears of insects
And music to his angels.
Did God Know what man did today?
Fate lined them up in fine feather,
nestled closely in a row
For every wondering stranger to see
and qustion how a perfect trio
Ended up still and cold,
Rotting underneath the old oak trees.
She shook her head and wondred
Why it was that God, kingdom of heaven,
Had granted such creatures
Beauty even lifeless.
It must be his Trinity
That alloed them to appear as though
simply
sleeping
Or maybe, in all his blindness,
He had yet to realize they were dead.
