(poem) The Clock Hasn't Stopped [mae9191]
2007-08-21 -- 1:26 p.m.
Summer is coming to a close,
the breeze is colder and
the sun isn't out for as long.
Memories fade away like
the writing in the sand or
wet footprints on the deck.
This time has touched us,
our heads turning back to watch it pass and
trying to remember what he said.
The wind seems to berate us,
making the hounds bay and
forcing us deeper into the covers.
Will you remember the good things,
his touch, his embrace, and
the way he'd look into your eyes?
Or will the darkness eat at you,
revealing hidden scars and
recalling the taste of blood?
