Ooops, I fell for my best friend...

How did it start?

New term, new college, new people

“Met this guy in philosophy today

Seemed to have a bit in common"

Saw those scars on your arm, too.

I had my boy, and you wanted my best friend

She led you on, didn’t think about you

Wanted to feed her ego, and you did

Took you a while to get over her

(Must not be second to her again)

And it took me so much longer to forget him

But you held me up, my new best friend

And we realised just how much we have in common

What bittersweet moments.

We spent five months putting it off, avoiding it

Five months of kissing other people

And holding each other

Until nothing stood in our way
