stream of conciousness...
driving through paulsboro
cigarettes floating in puddles of misery bleed through the filthy streets. i'd begun to think i'd lost myself somewhere, but i found it here, driving in the pounding rain. steal a glance at the driver's seat. my eyes can't get enough of his. we pass refineries, metallic castles that look so daunting by day and beautiful lit up in the night.
but that won't happen tonight - the air is flooded and thick.
it doesn't matter where we're headed as long as we're both here. it doesn't matter what we're saying, or if we're silent. because we already know.
we already know.
sometimes, people forget to just be.
